SMART SOLAR SYSTEM
FOR OFF-GRID APPLICATIONS
24HRS POWER GENERATION WITHOUT GENSET

OFF-GRID POWER GENERATION PROBLEMS

CONVENTIONAL SOLAR
- High per KW costs - USD1.1m/MW
- Large space required 3-4 acres/1MW
- Low efficiency - 10hrs gross/4 hrs. net total production/day
- Limited off-grid usage
- High operation & maintenance
- High battery costs

FUEL BASED GENSET
- High diesel cost
- High diesel transportation cost especially to offshore unmanned platform

GAS TURBINE
- High gas cost
- High gas transportation cost
- High maintenance cost
- Higher risk on safety

WIND TURBINE
- Wind patent only works seasonal during the monsoon only

Typical Rural Solar System Installation
Current Issues with Conventional Solar Systems
- Solar panels shaded by trees
- Panels are dirty and covered with dust
- Damaged solar panels
- Damaged batteries
- Missing charge controllers
- Direct charging from solar panels
- Insufficient power during rainy season.
- Improper wiring of solar home systems.
- Batteries are often either overcharged or undercharged.
- Charge controllers are bypassed.
- Need big space for the solar panels
Insufficient Power
Generation
- In Peninsular Malaysia, depending on areas, average number of hours of direct sunlight is about 4 to 5 hours a day on good sunny days.
- During rainy season there might be no direct sunlight.
- Most solar arrays are covered with a thick layer of algae and some are covered by shades (either trees or even shadow of surrounding structures

REVOLUTIONIZING SOLAR SOLUTION
SMART SOLAR
- Maximum Battery Utilization.
- Less Space required
- Less Battery required.
- Only 3% for On/Off-grid production.
- Less Battery, Less Costs.
- Continuous (Re-)Charging, One Full Charge can run for 3 days
- Unlike Conventional 8 Hours Charging, 3 Hours running

400 & 800 Hz High Frequency Amplifying Charging System
Due to the Continuous (Re-)Charging feature, it makes it possible to provide electricity during less sunlight (off-peak) and night time.
JUST NOT ANOTHER SOLAR SYSTEM
Conventional Solar Power System (x Factor of 4)
2MW Plant produces 2MW x 4 Hrs = 8 MWhd (DC)
=> 6.4MWhd (AC)
SMART SOLAR
340kW Plant produces 340 kW x 10 hours = 3.4MWhd (AC)
+ (340 kW x (about 70% to 75%) x 14 Hrs) = 3.0MWhd (AC)
=> 6.4MWhd (AC)
- Conventional solar power system requires 32,000 sq.m (6-8 acres) of land for a 2 MW plant (8 MWh (DC) or 6.4 MWh (AC)
- Our SMART SOLAR only needs 280 sq.m for a 340kW plant to produce +/-6.4MWhd (AC)
- Plant can be closer to the users due to availability of smaller land space
- Less infrastructure work, supporting structure such as tower and transmission line.
- Less power loss due to shorter distance
- Less land cost
- Less maintenance

Specification sets out the scopes for the routine and non-routine maintenance of all the equipment associated with the Smart Solar System so that they remain in good condition, operate as designed and meet the specified requirements. Equipment to be maintained and replaced as required under this Specification included but is not limited to:
- Solar panels
- Battery sets
- Controller
- Inverter
- Regenerator
- Gauges, meters and sensors
- Wiring and cabling
- Cabinet, brackets and fittings
The work to be executed under this Specification will necessitate us to provide emergency call out, and repair work on accident damaged equipment, on a twenty-four (24) hours per day seven (7) days per week basis. The requirements for routine maintenance and those for non-routine maintenance are tabled out respectively. Enhancements and reconstruction work for region-specific locations will be included as required.
